The most common level of permissions for Docusign use at the University of Washington is a UW Sender with templates. In this role, you can:
The ability to create templates and other functions is reserved for those with Delegated Administrator permissions. There will be cases where your team may have set you up as a Sender without the ability to use templates, which may be necessary depending on your team's Docusign use cases. If you have questions about your permissions, consult with your team's Delegated Administrator. If you are unsure who to contact or need more detailed guidance on a Docusign process, use our Get help with eSignatures (Docusign) resource for support.
Docusign is not a repository. Download your completed envelopes and coordinate with your Delegated Administrator to place them in the team’s storage location for retention.
Docusign offers the following resources to help you get started with creating and sending envelopes:
Customize Your Profile
Create and Manage Your Signature
Using Email Notification Settings
If you have viewed or signed a document through Docusign at UW in the past, you have a user profile automatically created for that purpose in the "UW Signers" account. If you have a new departmental sending account, your profile may still default to the "UW Signers" account, which has no sending privileges. You can resolve this by switching to your sending account and setting that up as your default profile.
Follow the instructions below to switch accounts and set up your default profile.
