On desktop

1. Select the three-dots more options menu, then select select Settings.
2. Select Notifications and activity.
3. Look for the Meetings settings, then select Mute from the Meeting chat notifications drop-down menu.
4. Upon switching to your desired options, they will be saved automatically.
5. Once you're finished making changes, close the Settings dialog box.

On mobile app

1. Select your profile picture from the upper-left corner to open the more options menu, then select Notifications.
2. Under Block notifications, select the When in meetings option.
3. Select the toggle next to When in meetings to disable notifications while you are attending a meeting on your device.

External contacts may be managed directly through Microsoft Teams. Anyone internal to the UW will already be searchable from the dial pad field and don't need to be added to your contacts. Contacts will sync between your UW email account and Teams. More information about managing contacts from Microsoft support.

Place a call on hold

1. From the navigation bar at the top, select Hold.
2. A resume button will appear in the control bar when you have placed a call on hold. Tap Resume to retrieve a call from hold.

Transfer call

1. Search for the recipient by name (if they are internal) or dial a number to transfer the call to an external recipient.
2. Tap Transfer to send the call to an internal recipient via Teams.
3. Transfer to a recipient's voicemail or alternative phone number by clicking on the drop-down menu next to Transfer. Have the caller sent back if the transfer recipient is unavailable. Note: This feature will be grayed out (not available) when the option to Ring back if there's no answer is enabled.

Consult then transfer

1. Search for the recipient by name (if they are internal) or dial a number to consult with an external recipient.
2. If the recipient is internal, select Chat to start a chat with them.
3. If an audio call is preferred, click the drop-down next to the Chat button to initiate a call instead.
4. If the recipient is external, click Consult. A separate (chat or call) window will appear.
5. Select the appropriate transfer option from the upper-right corner when your consultation is complete to transfer the call to the recipient via Teams.

1. Place a phone call using the Teams Calls apps
2. Select More from the menu, then Record and Transcribe
3. Choose between Start Recording and Start Transcription
   • Start Recording - both records and transcribes the call
   • Start Transcription- only transcribes the call
4. Select the desired for the selected option.

Accessing Recording and Transcriptions

1. Open the Calls app
2. Locate the call in the History and select the call
3. Recording and transcriptions will be displayed in the right pane.
