Register.UW is the new registration app from the UW that replaces the old Student Personal Services Registration page, which you may also know as the SLN Registration page or MyUW Registration page.
Register.UW will allow you to do the same things you previously used the SPS/SLN/MyUW Registration page for, but with an improved UI and new features that will improve the registration experience.
Using Register.UW you can:

You can also get to Register.UW from MyPlan from the Single Quarter View page by clicking the "Take me to Register.UW' button
Before students are able to register each quarter they need to complete mandatory legal acknowledgments, accept or decline optional charges on their account, and confirm the address and emergency contact information the University has for them.
Starting 1 week before the first day of Registration Period 1 you will be able to complete these steps in Register.UW, please watch the video below for a walkthrough of how to complete these steps:

If you are completing your preregistration steps before your registration start date, you will see a notice specifying when you will be able to start registering during Period 1 registration.
If you are not eligible to register during Period 1 or your registration date can’t be determined you will get a notice that is not your time to register yet, you can learn more about registration periods and when you should be eligible to register here.
Continuing students are eligible to register for the following quarter during Period I registration based on their class standing and priority registration status ability (more information here). If your registration start date is during Period I, you will be able to start registering for classes at 6am Pacific Time on that day.
On the morning of your registration start date you can start preparing for registration on Register.UW prior to 6:00 AM (PT) You will be able to import previously planned sections from MyPlan, or add sections to your registration cart by SLN or course code. You will not be able to submit your registration until 6:00 AM (PT), the Register button will automatically appear and allow you to submit your registration. Please note that leaving the page will clear your registration cart and you will need to re-import or re-add courses to your registration cart.
Before your day to register, check Register.UW for any Holds or Blocks on your account that may prevent your registration.
If you do have a Block/Hold you will see an alert message that can expand to give you details on how you can resolve the issue that is causing the Block/Hold.

Once you have completed your pre-registration steps, and it is the day you are eligible to register, you can start adding sections you would like to register for to your cart. You can do this by using the text field next to the "Add to Cart" button. Adding courses to your registration cart is not registering for those sections, in order to submit your registration click the "Register" button below your registration cart. If you refresh or close Register.UW your current registration cart will be emptied.
If you know the SLN of the section you would like to add to your cart, just enter the SLN and click "Add to Cart":
You can enter multiple SLNs and add to cart by simply typing or pasting them using spaces or commas as separators.
You can also find the SLN of the section you are looking for by searching for the course abbreviation & number (ex. PSYCH 101) by clicking the section you want in the search results, and then clicking "Add to Cart":

If the section you have added to your cart requires an add or faculty code, you can enter it in the text box to the right of the course code. To tell if a section requires an add/faculty code check the section details in MyPlan or the web Time Schedule. If a section in your cart is a variable credit section, there will be a drop down underneath "Credits" for you to choose the number of credits that section will count as. You must select the number of credits for a variable credit section before attempting to register, if you do not you will get an error.
If you already have a schedule planned for the quarter you have selected in Register.UW, you can import it into your registration cart by clicking the "Import from MyPlan" button. Once the sections are imported you can Register for them, add additional sections to your cart, or remove sections. If any of your planned items in MyPlan are not ready for registration (for example if a section has not been selected) they will not be imported into Register.UW and you will get a message telling you how many planned items could not be imported. Go to MyPlan to resolve any issues.
Once you have the sections you want to register for in your registration cart, you can register for them by clicking the "Register" button. If you registration was successful you will see a green confirmation message. Your registration will only go through if there are no errors. If ANY of your sections are not able to be registered, you will need to remove the section with an error and re-submit your registration.

If only one of the sections you are trying to register for has an error it may be better to remove that section from your cart and resubmit your registration to register for as many sections as you can before trying to fix any errors.
When there is an error with your registration you will see a large red alert at the top of the page telling you your registration was not successful. In your registration cart you will see a detailed error message next to each section that had an error.
If you want to drop a course from your registered schedule select the checkbox under "Drop" to the right of the section(s) you want to drop and then click "Update Schedule". If you are dropping a secondary section (quiz/lab/studio) you will need to either drop the primary section as well, or add another secondary section for that course.
If you want to drop a section and add another one you can do it in a single transaction. You can do this by first adding the section you want to add to your schedule to the registration cart, selecting the "Drop" checkbox next the section you want to drop, then clicking the "Update Schedule" button. If there is an error trying to register for the section you want to add to your schedule the course you wanted to remove from your schedule will not be dropped.
If you want to update the Grading System for one of your registered sections you can do that by clicking "S/NS" underneath "Grading", then carefully read and confirm the information about changing to the S/NS grading option. Then click "Update Schedule" to save the change.
Once you have registered you can view your sections regular meeting times by clicking on the “Visual Schedule” link.
You can download a file of your schedule to import into your personal calendar by clicking “Export schedule”.
Once you have registered you can view any required textbooks or materials for your sections by clicking the “Textbooks” link. You will be redirected to the website for your campus bookstore.
