Live Video ID Verification is used to confirm your identity through a video call. UW Information Technology (UW-IT) requires this verification for certain needs, such as resetting your UW NetID password or obtaining a bypass code for two-factor authentication/Duo.
To verify your identity, you must show one of the documents from the list below to the agent.

You’ll need to download Zoom to your computer or device in advance of the verification process or access the Zoom meeting via a computer web browser. How to get UW Zoom.
To verify your identity the agent will need to clearly see your face. The video feed cannot be blurry, pixelated, or degraded from a low-quality internet connection.
Your device must have a functioning webcam that allows the agent to see your face and identifying document(s). You may need to bring your ID closer to the camera so the agent can clearly see it.
Join your verification session from a well-lit environment. The agent will need to be able to clearly see both your face and identifying documents. Ensure there are no shadows that will cover your face or preventing an agent from seeing your documents.
