In Fiscal Year (FY) 2024, Workday Finance became the UW’s primary financial system of record. This transition replaced many legacy systems, and while most of these systems were retired when Workday went live, some remained temporarily available in read-only mode to support legacy reporting. Ariba was one of these systems.
This page was created to support the retirement of Ariba. It provides context about the transition and points to alternative resources for accessing legacy financial data.
Note: As of June 27, 2025, Ariba is now retired.
To retire Ariba, data must be archived and retained per the University's General Retention Schedule. Some of this data will remain available in resources like the Spend Cube; however, due to Ariba’s proprietary system constraints, there are limitations on the data that can be made available in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). As a result, Ariba has been preserved with limited access for the Procurement department. UW Procurement will manage requests for data not represented in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) via the Ariba Inquiries form.
