Overview
Kopah is the University of Washington's on-premises, S3-compatible object storage service. It offers flexible, cost-effective, and scalable storage.

Storage Plans
Kopah offers three main options:
- Quota Plan – ideal for flexible or short-term use
- Small Condo – 12 TB, with one-time hardware cost and lower monthly fees
- Large Condo – 300 TB, best suited for high-capacity storage
Important Consideration: Kopah is not backed up. For backup solutions, UW researchers can use services like Lolo or external systems.
Eligibility
Available to UW faculty, staff, or affiliates with a valid NetID and Worktags. Accounts are group-based and access is managed via keys.
