GradePage: Overview of Spring 2026 Refresh

GradePage users may notice a few differences during Spring 2026 grading. The essential functions and workflows are similar to the previous version. There are two key changes:

  1. The new interface features a more modern and accessible design that uses the latest UW visual branding elements.
  2. A new feature allows grade submitters to change and resubmit current quarter submitted grades until the grading window closes.

New Interface Design

The new interface includes the familiar purple UW branding elements and meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines. You can now toggle between light and dark mode from the header on any page. We've also improved how GradePage presents the Incomplete and Writing Credit selection options. Based on user feedback, the Incomplete and Writing Credit buttons have been replaced with checkboxes that appear to the right of each grade entry field. In cases where an Incomplete does not require you to include a default grade, the grade field will now be disabled and a message will indicate the default grade is not required.

New Feature - Change and Resubmit Grades

Occasionally grade submitters need to change a submitted grade before the quarterly submission deadline. Previously, grade submitters had to wait until the close of grading and use the Change of Grade form through the Office of the University Registrar. Beginning in Spring 2026, submitters will be able to change and resubmit current quarter submitted grades in GradePage until the quarterly grade submission deadline. Quarterly grades are due by 5PM on the Tuesday after each quarter ends. Once the deadline passes, no grade changes can be made within GradePage.

To change and resubmit grades before the grading window closes:

  1. Log in to GradePage and select the section you need to change.
  2. Select the Change Grades button and make the changes in the grade fields. Note: You cannot change a previously submitted grade to I or X (no grade now). If you need to add an incomplete or remove the grade, you must wait until the grading window closes and use the Change of Grade form through the Office of the University Registrar.
  3. Select the Review Grades button at the bottom of the page and review the grades. Note: You will be resubmitting the entire roster, including grades that have not been changed. You do not need to do anything with those grades. The Review page will indicate which grades have changed and will display a message with the previous grade.
  4. Select the Submit Grades button at the bottom of the page to resubmit the grades. Note: Only the final submission before the deadline will be transmitted to the registrar for transcripts. Beginning the last week of the quarter, students can see any submitted grades in MyUW. They are advised these grades are not final until after the grading deadline has passed.
